Fresh Berry Pinwheels

Serves 4

Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 (10 oz.) tube refrigerated pizza dough
  • 4 tsp. raspberry preserves
  • 2 tbsp. raspberries
  • 2 tbsp. bluberries
  • 1 tbsp. unsalted butter, melted
Directions

Preheat the oven to 425° F; spray a nonstick baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray. In a small bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon.

On a lightly floured work surface, unroll the dough: slice lengthwise into quarters. Spread each with the preserves and top with berries; roll up the dough. Place the rolls, seam-side down, on the baking sheet; brush the tops with the butter, then sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar. Bake until golden brown, 10-12 minutes.

Keeping a tube of pizza dough in your refrigerator or freezer is a simple way to ward off trips to the bakery. It is so versatile-with some fresh fruit and a sprinkling of cinnamon sugar, you have an almost-instant sweet treat.
