Jiffy Pecan Melt-Away French Toast

4 servings

Ingredients
  • 1 frozen pecan coffee cake
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 4 Tbsp. butter or margarine, divided
  • powdered sugar, sifted for garnish
  • frozen blueberries or raspberries
Directions

Cut frozen coffee cake crosswise into six slices. Cut slices crosswise in half. In shallow bowl, beat eggs and milk until combined. Dip coffee cake slices into egg mixture, coating both sides. • In large skillet, melt two tablespoons butter over medium heat. Place three coffee cake slices onto skillet; cook 3-5 minutes or until golden brown, turning once. Remove from skillet. Add remaining two tablespoons butter to skillet; cook remaining slices. • Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Garnish with thawed berries of your choice. Serve warm with syrup, if desired.
